Wow! It's been awhile since I last posted. I figured I am overdue for a new addition to the blog. So here's the news:
* I really miss having a decent computer. Don't get me wrong, this one works and got me through my final presentation (just barely!), but it takes FOREVER for programs and pages online to load.

* The master's degree is complete- my graduation date was April 28th- and the actual degree arrived in all of it's beautiful glory yesterday's mail. I spent a long time staring at it yesterday and today and I will probably stare at it some more tommorrow. It still doesn't feel real and I am still adjusting to signing the new letters that follow my name. I am a little sad that I didn't get to do much for it- I feel like a bigger deal was made of my Bachelors degree, but I worked so much harder for this one.

* Searching for a new (master's level) job has taken over the time that I used to spend on school work. Hopefully one will come soon!

* I have officially decided to suck it up and move back with my parents for a while. sigh.....I will miss the quiet nights we have here that are not filled with spanish music blasted so loud that the entire city can hear it.

Hi Laura, I'm so glad you got your diploma. Congrats! Yes, it is sad to move back to your parents once you have been on your own, but thankfully, you still have them close by, so you can move back until you get back on your feet again with a better paying and more classified job.

I was just looking at your links on your blog and wanted to let you know that you need to fix them because you have double htt:// in front of their title. The only link that works correctly is The Fish. I didn't know if you knew this, so I wanted to let you know.

I'm also sorry that your computer took a dive in to the dust. It is not fun working on a slow computer. That is all I hear from Chuck how his Mac is running so slow. Well, soon I won't be hearing that anymore because he is getting a new Mac, probably tonight.

Hopefully, soon things will get better for us all.

Hey Sue, when computers run slow--it's either because they are too full or they have a virus or worm--probably lots.

His mac was running slow because it is old, between 8-10 years old. It is also loaded to the hilt with all kinds of stuff on it too. Remember Alanna, macs don't get worms or viruses. Their system is very complex than a pc and it is hard to make a virus for them. Macs also don't run on windows only a pc does.
